Is There Love Within Me?

Is there love within me?

When there is love within us

the heart expands,

and this love can be expressed simply

with a smile,

a breathing presence,

a supportive glance;

life is short.

Our lives in this bodymind are short.

What more can I do to express the love within me?

Breathing, I am home;

loving, I am home;

yet sometimes I am far from home,

trapped in stories,

frightened of fears;

and then –

surfing the waves,

watching the passing clouds,

and breathing.
